About Me
Not currently taking new clients. If you are looking for a therapist, I highly recommend cheryl at www.franktalk.caI’ve worked in mental health for over 15 years across community agencies, the healthcare system, private practice, and even IT (because let’s face it, no system, human or digital, is as straightforward as it should be). I’ve worn a lot of hats: therapist, social worker, policy and standards lead, and instructional designer. It’s given me a wide-angle view of how people and systems function and where they often don’t.My approach to therapy is direct, practical, and focused on what actually helps. Insight matters, but so does doing something with it. We’ll reflect when needed, but we’ll also work toward real, concrete shifts, whatever that looks like for you. I draw from person-centered, mindfulness-based, cognitive-behavioural, existential, and psychodynamic approaches. I also have experience supporting people with psychedelic preparation and integration, especially when things have surfaced that feel confusing, profound, or both.I work with adults who are navigating burnout, big life transitions, and the general absurdity of being human. I also provide support for those grieving a suicide loss or caring for a loved one with mental illness, people often left out of the conversation but deeply affected. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just unsure what the next step is, therapy can help. I’ve been on my own strange, healing path too, and I believe that kind of change is possible for anyone, it’s just about finding your way. When I’m not in session, I’m probably reading, wandering around the neighborhood, traveling to sunny, beachy places, experimenting with baking, or making lopsided pottery that I love anyway. If you’re looking for something grounded, honest, and maybe a little off-center in a good way, let’s talk.
